Available in both 15mm and 28mm scale, these highly detailed STL miniatures feature the iconic woven basket hat that made the Komusō instantly recognizable, making them ideal for historical tabletop games, roleplaying adventures and realistic Sengoku dioramas.

⚔️ Historical Context

The Komusō were itinerant monks of the Fuke school of Zen Buddhism, famous for wearing the distinctive tengai basket hat that covered their faces. They travelled across Japan playing the traditional shakuhachi bamboo flute as a form of meditation known as suizen, or “blowing meditation”.

Although primarily religious figures, Komusō became closely associated with the turbulent years surrounding the Sengoku period and the early Edo era. Their anonymous appearance and freedom to travel inspired countless legends, making them a distinctive addition to historical collections and narrative tabletop scenarios.
