Oda Nobunaga was one of the three great unifiers of Japan and one of the most innovative commanders of the sixteenth century. His military reforms transformed Japanese warfare through the disciplined use of ashigaru infantry, massed teppo arquebusiers and coordinated battlefield tactics that forever changed the balance of power during the Sengoku period.

Known for his bold leadership and strategic vision, Nobunaga defeated rival clans and laid the foundations for the eventual unification of Japan. His victories, including the famous Battle of Nagashino, established him as one of history’s greatest daimyo and one of the defining figures of feudal Japan.
