⚔️ Historical Context

The nodachi, also known as the ōdachi, was an exceptionally long Japanese sword designed for use on open battlefields during the Sengoku period. Its tremendous reach allowed skilled warriors to strike infantry and cavalry at greater distances than standard katana, making it both an effective weapon and a symbol of martial prowess.

Although difficult to master and less common than the katana or yari, the nodachi became associated with elite samurai renowned for their exceptional strength and swordsmanship.
